In the past there used to be many exams for bank probationary officer and clerk post because each bank used to conduct its own exam, which in turn resulted in problem for job aspirants because they had to apply separately which resulted in monetary loss because fees was around 500 to 800 rupees and also they had to fight so many exams which again resulted in stress. Now institute of banking personal selection also known as IBPS has removed that problem and there would be single exam for job aspirants who are interested in banking industry. Given below is the list of IBPS banks –
- Andhra bank
- Allahabad bank
- BOB
- BOI
- Bank of Maharashtra
- Canara
- CBI
- Corporation
- Dena
- Indian bank
- IOB
- OBC
- PNB
- Punjab and sind
- Union bank of India
- UCO
- Vijaya
- United bank of India
- Syndicate
As one can see now people just have to give one test and it would contain around 250 questions and will give time of around 2 to 3 hours to complete that test, it will be quite competitive because lakhs of students would be appearing for it and if they clear this test than they can easily apply to all of the above.
Whenever any vacancy arises which is intimated through newspaper and if they get a call based on their marks in the written test then they have to appear for GD and interview and then if they clear that also then they would be selected.
