BLU Vivo 4.65 Price,Features and Specifications

When it comes to naming your product, hitting the nail on the head can be quite tricky. You will need something that is short and sweet, and yet gets the message across so that ordinary folks would know what you are referring to without having to pause and think.

Giving smartphones names could be quite a fun affair, where you have Samsung with their Galaxy range, HTC with different kinds of “feelings” involved (Desire, Sensation, et al), Sony with their trademark Xperia line, the list goes on. How about BLU Products? We also haven’t heard of them, but this could by the very reason why they decided to go for the jugular by calling their latest smartphone as the VIVO 4.65 HD. You know for sure this puppy will come with a 4.65” display, and it will be the better version of the VIVO 4.3 that rolled out earlier this year.

Canon Powershot N Price,Features and Specifications

Canon Powershot N  Review : The new Canon Powershot N includes a lot of the features that Canon (and other companies) been adding to tiny point-and-shoots over the years, like Wi-Fi connectivity and touchscreen controls. What makes it new and refreshing—at least aesthetically—is the new design that’s more square. It’s no great secret that the conventional point-and-shoot camera market appears to be in terminal decline. The ever-increasing capability of smartphone cameras means that they’re more than good enough for the vast majority of casual users, while their internet connectivity makes it easy to share pictures with the rest of the world the moment they’re taken. Throw in the current popularity of Instagram, with its emphasis on the use of ‘artistic’ image processing filters and community sharing, and it’s little wonder that people are deserting the pocket camera in droves.

Asus ME301T MemoPad 10 Inch Jelly Bean Tablet Price, Features & Specifications

Asus ME301T MemoPad 10  Asus has pretty much always been an important tablet player, but ever since the Google co-branded Nexus 7 got out the bar of expectations got a huge bump. Now we’re all eyes on the Taiwan-based electronics company, which is seen by some as one of the only hopes of Android ever overthrowing Apple’s iPads from their leadership positions. But does Asus have enough fire to come up with awesome tabs without Google’s direct help? We shall probably see about that in only a few short weeks, when, according to piling rumors, several new Asus devices will be thrown to the lions.

Features & Specifications :

The Asus ME301T MemoPad 10 is a 10-inch Android 4.1 Jelly Bean tablet running on a quad-core Tegra 3 chip, but what’s most interesting – it has a very affordable price tag of 308 euro (Asus ME301T MemoPad 10406) in Europe. This might seem like much, but in Europe’s realities it is actually a very affordable device, as say the Nexus 7 in Europe sells for around 250 euro. At that price, it’s definitely not a competitor to the latest iPad. There can be little excitement about the 10.1-inch 1,280 x 800-pixel display, and 16GB of internal storage, what’s more fascinating is the low price. Also, the fact that both a Wi-Fi-only and a Wi-Fi plus cellular options will be available.

Price To Be Announced Soon...!

10 Things To Know About MS Office 2013

The New Microsoft Office ( MS Office 2013) is available wherever you are, on whatever device you’re using at the time, and with full touch-screen support, the entire suite has been reinvented to work with Windows 8-driven tablets, regular keyboard-and-mouse desktop setups, and even smartphones. It has a completely reinvented interface.

Here is a list of 10 things that you should know about MS Office 2013:

All in the Cloud:
Microsoft’s cloud storage SkyDrive has its presence from a long time but it’s only now that SkyDrive has to play a major role to play in company’s plans. The New Microsoft Office 2013 enhances its functionality by storing all your Office Docs in SkyDrive by default. This will not only save your disk space but will also let you access the documents from any location using a remotely located device. Named Office 365, you will need to subscribe for this service. The price has still not been announced yet but is expected to come out by this fall.

Touch and Stylus:
Microsoft has taken a big leap forward by embracing the touch and stylus modes beyond the usual mouse and keyboards. Though, multi-touch laptops won’t be a primary choice for businesses, but touch is being widely accepted in the Smartphone and Tablet market. The pen, much like the one used in Galaxy Note, is also making a comeback. The features that Office 2013 is providing will resemble the ones you are much used to like swiping your fingers across to turn the page, pinching in and out to zoom and read the documents etc. The most attractive feature though is conversion of your handwritten emails into text!

The ‘Metro’:
Microsoft, in its launch of the Office 2013 conform its ‘Metro’ look that is persistent through software developers mobile apps. One more remarkable change that is worth noticing is the flatness of the ribbon in MS Office 2013 when compared to MS Office 2010.

Editing PDF:
Now you can edit your PDF documents in MS Word, a feature Microsoft has incorporated in its new launch keeping in mind the growing popularity of Adobe’s PDF format. The earlier versions did not allow you to edit PDF formats in Word and this was a major turn off as most of the documents available on the internet now come as a PDF document. Also, you can now integrate videos from YouTube and Facebook in your Word documents that can be viewed by other users while reading the file.

Excel 2013:
Microsoft has launched Excel nearly three decades ago to facilitate all the major number-crunchers and the new release Office 2013 lets Excel do what it does best without adding any drastic updates. But still, Excel 2013 offers some new templates for budgets, calendar, reports, and forms. The Flash Fill feature is also very useful as it recognizes your data and fills in the details accordingly.

Powerful PowerPoint:
As in the earlier versions where the initial page guided you to the steps to build a presentation, the newer version, has an updated Start screen that consists of new color templates and design themes. The Presenter now makes it easier for you to zoom in a part of any image, chart or graph on which you need to emphasize. The Navigation Guide lets you switch slides from a grid that is hidden from the audience. The Collaboration tools are the most important upgrade in the new PowerPoint that allows various business colleagues to work on creating one presentation that is saved in Microsoft’s SkyDrive or SharePoint.

Note-Taking:
Microsoft’s new note taking app, OneNote, is well-suited to notebooks, tablets and the added advantage Office 2013 has is its Metro-Style user interface. It automatically saves your note on SkyDrive making your idea readily available even on a remote location. It also lets you grab screens and pull them to your notebooks, a feature that might prove to be compelling to many business users who opt for Stylus based Windows RT and Windows 8 based tablets.

Skype Integration:
Microsoft Office 2013 makes it easier for you to import your Skype contacts in Microsoft enterprise-oriented Lync communication platform for calling and instant messaging. Office subscribers will be getting 60 minutes of international calls each month.

Office 2013 ‘Social’ Suite:
The new Office suite gives further direction to Microsoft’s attempt to target the large number of Enterprise users. Yammer’s acquisition last month was tentative yet the integration of the safe and secure social platform mainly used to network Enterprise users has made Microsoft’s intentions to outshine in the enterprise networking platform. The new suite is loaded with Skype and Yammer making it an obvious choice for all socially committed enterprise users. Office 2013’s People tool will now provide you detailed information about your contacts, their Facebook and LinkedIn updates and everything else you need to know about them.

Big Screen Bonanza:
The availability of big screen might not be an essential feature of Office 2013, but with its release Microsoft is all set to transform the way we work. For instance, in a classroom, the lecturer can use OneNote app to jot down lecture notes on a big screen such as Perceptive Pixel’s 82-inch monster using Stylus and the students can later download the notes in their tablets using SkyDrive. This will transform the conventional way of teaching making the profession more technology oriented.

Will Windows 8 Succeed In The Market?

With barely a week away from the official launch of Windows 8, some critics of the new operating system from Microsoft are still skeptical about the success of the new OS among the users.

Intel, which makes the processors at the heart of 80 per cent of personal computers, doubts that Windows 8 will have a big impact on sales. CEO Paul Otellini said this week that he’s “very excited” about the new operating system but expects the usual holiday bounce in PC sales to be half of what it usually is. Otellini suggested that PC makers are being cautious about building big stocks of Windows 8 PCs.

Research firm IHS iSuppli expects the industry to ship 349 million PCs this year, down 1 percent from last year’s all-time high. Although small, the decline would be the first since 2001.
In the US, a mature market where consumers are gobbling up tablets, PC sales have already been declining for two years.

Meanwhile, Apple has been doubling sales of iPad tablets every year since the first model was introduced in 2010. In the April to June period, Apple shipped 17 million iPads, while Hewlett-Packard Co., then the world’s largest maker of PCs, shipped 13.6 million PCs, according to Gartner analysts.

Smartphones, which were a niche market before the 2007 launch of the iPhone, outsold PCs last year, even though PC sales were at a record high. Some 488 million smartphones were sold in 2011, according to research firm Canalys.

Windows 8 is a response to the popularity of tablets. It tosses out many Windows conventions in favor of a radical new look that’s designed to be easy to use on a touch screen. With Windows 8, PC makers are releasing a slew of laptops that double as tablets, either with detachable screens or with screens that fold down over the keyboard.

Analyst Mary Jo Foley at UBS is “leery” of Windows 8, noting that it has an entirely new look and feel. It could either be a big success, she said, or it could confuse customers and turn them off.

PC makers began the year with the hope that a new wave of lightweight laptops called ultrabooks would provide a sales lift. But ultrabooks are still expensive, with most models around $1,000, and they haven’t been compelling enough to overcome the growing popularity of smartphones and tablets.

Now, PC makers are in a tough spot when it comes to taking advantage of Windows 8, said Patrick Moorhead, a former chief executive who now runs research firm Moor Insight. Adding a touchscreen into a PC is expensive, and they’re competing with tablets that are much cheaper.

The Story Of Apple Inc Logo

One of the most easily identifiable logo is that of Apple, a company that in past one decade has changed the very definition of personal computing as we know it today. Just like the company, including its late co-founder Steve Jobs, Apple’s logos too have an unusual history.

Here’s the history behind the famous ‘bite’: The first Apple logo might seem like a sticker on a wine bottle, but it is not. During 1970s, the first logo was nowhere close to an Apple.

However, it still had something to do with apple. The logo was Isaac Newton. The image appears to be on a papyrus showing the popular anecdote from Newton’s life when an Apple fell on his head. Of course, the associated message was a quote from Wordsworth, “Newton… a mind forever voyaging through strange seas of thought.”

This Newton logo didn’t last for long and was replaced by a multi-coloured Apple logo bitten on the right side. This logo was designed by Rob Janoff and there are several stories that try to explain the idea behind this Apple logo. But the most popular is the one which says that it is a tribute to Alan Turning, the father of modern computing who committed suicide by taking a bite from a cyanide-laced Apple.

Then, in 1998, Apple introduced its monochrome logo. Though in the current design, the outline remains the same, but it now features only two colours: white and aluminium.

Google Acquires Snapseed Photo-Editing Service

Google has acquired the digital photo editing service Snapseed as part of its effort to compete against Facebook’s online social network. Snapseed is the centrepiece of Google’s acquisition of Nik Software, which developed the service’s photo-editing technology. Google Inc. didn’t disclose the terms of the Nik Software acquisition.

The deal gives Google a popular service that competes against Facebook’s Instagram, whose tools are widely used to display, touch up and share photos taken on smartphones and tablet computers. Snapseed could be used to increase usage of Google Plus, a social networking alternative to Facebook.

Although it has grown rapidly since its debut nearly 15 months ago,
Google Plus is still experimenting with different features aimed at getting Web surfers to check into the service more frequently.

Google Plus now has about 400 million account holders, while Facebook claims 955 million active users.

According to San Diego based Nik Software, 9 million people use Snapseed application for the iPhone and iPad.

Apple iOS 6: 10 Unique New Features

Apple has released the iOS 6 update on September 20. The update is available for iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, new iPad, iPad 2, iPod Touch 4th generation and iPod Touch 5th generation.
According to Apple, the new OS brings over 200 new features to iOS devices. Here’s a look at 10 new features that you will get as part of iOS 6.

1. Maps
Apple has dropped Google provided maps in iOS 6 and has introduced its own maps. The maps bring turn-by-turn navigation, 3D maps, real-time traffic information and more, however not all the maps features will be available in every market.
One of the most interesting features of new maps app on iOS 6 is the Flyover. With Flyover you can see select major metro areas from the air with photo-realistic, interactive 3D views.

2. Improved Siri
Siri has been on iPhone 4S for last one year, but now it is reaching more devices and with more features. With iOS 6, Siri understands more languages and can give answers to your movie, sports and restaurants related queries as well. It can also now post to your Facebook and Twitter accounts.
A new interesting addition to Siri is Eyes free, Apple is working with car manufacturers to integrate Siri into select voice control systems. Through the voice command button on your steering wheel, you’ll be able to ask Siri questions without taking your eyes off the road.

3. Facebook Integration
Similar to the Twitter integration in iOS, Apple has also Facebook in iOS 6. With this integration in place, you will be able share a photo to Facebook right from camera app or post your location directly from maps. Facebook events also get integrated to your device calendar and same is the case with contact information from Facebook.
You will have sign in Facebook only once and then you can use also these features and more from any app without signing in again.

4. Shared Photo Streams
With shared photo streams, you can selectively share photos with a group of people. You just select photos from Photos app, tap the Share button and choose the people with whom you want to share these photos. If your friends and family are using Photos app or iPhoto, they will get the shared photos instantly in the apps, while the non-iOS/ Mac device users will be able to see them on web.

5. Panoramic photos
iOS 6 users using iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, or iPod touch (5th gen.) will benefit from the all new camera app that adds a panorama view. Until now you had to use third-party apps to get panoramic photos, but now with one simple motion you can shoot up to 240 degrees of view and watch the software weave its magic.

6. Safari & Mail improvements
Apple has further enhanced the web browsing experience on iOS devices with iOS 6. A new feature called iCloud Tab keeps track of which web pages you have open on your devices, so even when you switch devices, you can just pick up from where you left on the other device. Safari can also save the full web pages now for reading later or offline access. The full screen support is finally present, all you have to do is turn your iOS device in landscape mode and just tap the full-screen button. Safari also gets the ability to upload photos via a form.

Mail is also improved with new features like VIP lists. You can now designate certain contacts as VIPs and chose to be notified when they email, even when email notifications are off. The VIP lists are cloud-enabled, so you get notified irrespective of whichever iCloud-enabled device you are using. Also included is swipe to refresh and an improved way to add videos or photos to email messages.

7. FaceTime over cellular
Along with Wi-Fi networks, you can also use FaceTime over cellular networks now. You can also make and receive FaceTime calls on your iPad using your phone number.
Apple has enhanced FaceTime so that you can receive FaceTime alerts across all of your devices. That means you can use FaceTime wherever you are, on any device and never miss another FaceTime call.

8. Better App Store
Apple has revamped the App Store interface on iOS devices. You will now have access to more information about each app and you will no longer have to enter a password for the free app downloads. The company has also made changes to way the search results and Genius recommendations are displayed.

9. Phone & DND
In order to make calling cooler, Apple has made some changes in the Phone app in iOS6. Now when you decline an incoming call on iPhone, you can instantly reply with a text message or set a call-back reminder. With iOS 6, you will also be able to turn on Do Not Disturb to suppress all incoming calls and notifications except for the VIP contacts.

10. Passbook
With Passbook, you can store your boarding passes, movie tickets, retail coupons, loyalty cards, and more in one place. With the app, you will be able to just scan your iPhone or iPod touch to check in for a flight, get into a movie, and redeem a coupon. Outlook.com – A Big Time Web Mail Competitor by Microsoft

Microsoft has given a new name and a complete overhaul to Gmail, a sixteen years old web mail service. Microsoft has now launched a big time Gmail competitor in the market named Outlook.com. The new monochromatic interface of Outlook.com looks nice and it is comprised with some new and innovative tweaks for enhanced user interface. The company has injected various innovative features into this webmail and it is specially designed for individual business professionals. There are four major reasons why most of the professionals will switch over to Outlook.com from Gmail.

Privacy Protection

Privacy protection is one of the creepiest parts of Gmail. You can easily do text mining on your emails and use the necessary information for surfacing target ads. This is actually the price that you have to pay on Gmail for free webmail service and unlimited data storage. If you are emailing anyone about a holiday trip, then Gmail will simultaneously surface the text ads along with your mails. Most of these ads are useful and unobtrusive but still most of the persons get freaked out after realizing the fact that Google is reading their mails.

Outlook.com is a perfect alternative to Gmail in terms of privacy protection. There are many business professionals who use webmail for transmitting sensitive or potentially valuable information. Microsoft has capitalized on this uneasiness of Gmail and promised that Outlook.com will not do any kind of text mining on the user’s inbox. You don’t have to pay any kind of price for using free service and unlimited data storage on Outlook.com. Microsoft has stated that they will not scan the attachments or emails of the user and not even sell the information to any company or advertiser. It simply means that you will not notice any kind of ads in your personal conversation.

Privacy protection feature on Outlook.com doesn’t mean that this webmail service will not have ads. You will notice an ads column on the main inbox screen but these ads will not focused on any individual message.

Automatic Folders

“Automatic folders” is also one of the amazing features of Outlook.com. You can easily create virtual folders for sorting out your emails. You can create folders for common stuff like Facebook and Twitter alerts, newsletters, professional mails and other types of advertisement mails. This feature is actually operated with the help of an algorithm and you will surely love the low touch nature of this amazing feature by Microsoft. You can also streamline this process by setting up your own inbox according to your needs.
According to Microsoft’s Chris Jones, Outlook.com can sort out your messages from newsletters, social updates and alerts, contacts and shipping updates automatically. This sweep feature will enable you to move, delete as well as set up some powerful rules in just a few clicks. “Automatic folders” feature of Outlook.com can help you in managing your inbox according to your priorities. There is another mail management feature of Outlook.com that allows you to hang back any particular mail and get a set of actions to flag it as important or delete it or sort in into particular folder.

Social Integration

Microsoft has introduced a social integration feature into Outlook.com. This feature can allow you to draw all the necessary contact details about the person to whom you are sending emails. All the social contact details of any person will appear in the right column in a simpler manner. According to the latest reviews, Microsoft has taken the social integration feature of Outlook.com a little further. It means that you will not only see the contact details of the person from different social networks but you will also be able to see their updates. Another important feature of Outlook.com is instant messaging. You can easily do facebook chat within your Outlook.com account.

Mobile Experience

One of the biggest benefits of Microsoft’s Outlook.com is that it can be easily optimized for an amazing mobile experience. You can easily manage your mails on Outlook.com from your mobile phones or tablets. According to Microsoft’s Chris Jones, “Outlook.com is a different approach in comparison to Google’s Gmail.”
Well, these are some of the amazing features and benefits of Outlook.com over Gmail. This innovative webmail service will surely impress you with its excellent and pioneering user tweaks and user interface.

What Is In Store For Windows Phone 8

There are going to be a lot more features in Windows Phone 8 and the only one Microsoft has shown in any detail is the new Start screen, which keeps the idea of live tiles that show you lots of information at a glance but gives you more options for the size of tiles and how you arrange them.
There’s a new small tile size; you can fit four of those in the old Windows Phone 7 tile size.
The layout is completely flexible; press and hold the way you do on Windows Phone today and you can unpin a tile, drag it to a new position – or press the arrow that appears on the bottom of the tile to cycle through the small, large and medium sizes.

Even without the Zune-style ‘trough’ to remind you your other apps are on the right hand side, you only get two of what’s now the medium tiles side by side, but there seven rows of small size tiles (or three and a half medium tiles) so you could cram in 28 small tiles if you wanted to.

More likely, you’ll want a mix of small and medium tiles, with a couple of the ‘double-wide’ large tiles for apps that show a lot of information on a live tile.

That’s no longer restricted to Microsoft apps, phone makers and mobile networks; any app can have a double-side tile now, and it can be a live tile that updates.
If you make a tile smaller, the tiles next to it don’t move over automatically; if you make it larger, it does push the other tiles out of the way, so you may have to move tiles a couple of tiles to get the layout you want.

You can use small tiles to offset medium tiles (at the side or above) so you get a staggered arrangement instead of just grouping them in the space of one medium tile.
The new Start screen gives you even more live information because you can fit so many more live tiles on. You get more control than ever over which tiles get more space and which have just enough room to show their icon or the number of text messages or missed calls.

You can still have the Windows Phone 7-size tiles in two rows and the three new sizes and the underlying seven by eight layout give you much more flexibility.
