AR Rahman’s Live Concert in Chennai

Fans of music composer AR Rahman are in for a real treat this weekend. The Oscar and Grammy Award-winner will perform live at the Salute to the Motherland concert at the YMCA Grounds in Chennai on December 30, 2012. Rahman will be perform to a packed house of 30,000 people.

Organized by Jaya TV at the YMCA Grounds at Nandanam in Chennai, the concert, titled Thaai Manne Vanakkam (Salute to the Motherland), will have all Tamil songs of the musical genius, right from his first movie Roja to the latest one, Kadal. One of the high points of the live concert would be that AR Rahman will be performing only Tamil songs after a gap of more than a decade.

One of the highlights of Thaai Manne Vanakkam song would be that ARR will be performing only Tamil songs after a gap of nearly 12 years. Several musicians from foreign countries will joins hands with Rahman to perform at the TMV concert. Looks like this would be a perfect New Year from Rahman for his fans.

Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif Together Again

There is good news for all Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif’s fans. Both Ranbir and Katrina will work together again in Imtiaz Ali’s next film. According to a leading daily, the shooting of this film will start in the first week of September 2013. This would be Ranbir Kapoor’s third film with Katrina Kaif after Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani in 2009 and Raajneeti in 2010.

A source said, “Neither Imtiaz nor (producer) Sajid Nadiadwala are willing to talk about it yet, but in all likelihood, Katrina is confirmed. Both the director and producer feel that she fits the bill perfectly. Things aren’t on paper yet, but detailed discussions have already taken place. Katrina also seems willing to star in the film.”

Meanwhile Katrina Kaif is busy shooting Dhoom 3 with Aamir Khan. After Dhoom 3, she will shoot the remake of English movie Knight And Day with Hrithik Roshan. After finishing these two films Katrina will work in Imtiaz’s film. Well, Katrina Kaif is all set to give sleepless nights to her contemporaries!

Sonakshi Sinha Starts Shooting for Thuppakki Remake

Sonakshi Sinha has confirmed that she is playing female lead in the Hindi remake of Tamil hit Thuppakki. She started shooting for the project Thursday.

Because I only talk about a film AFTER I’ve signed it, it’s my pleasure to share with you all that we started shooting the ‘Thuppakki’ remake today. Looking forward to working with this team,” Sonakshi tweeted Thursday.

In Thuppakki, Sonakshi will once again feature with Akshay Kumar, with whom she has done films like Rowdy Rathore and “Joker.
