Advantages and Disadvantages of IPL

IPL also known as Indian premier league has been quite successful but still many controversies surround this tournament and that is the reason why it is important to look at advantages and disadvantages of IPL

IPL Advantages
  1. It helps in improving the local talent of India because they get to play with superstars of cricket of all over the world and hence help them prepare better for future.
  2. It also improves the stadiums because of money which flows into the system and hence improve the basic infrastructure which is needed for the game of cricket.
  3. Since it has a 3 hour game many viewers like women and children’s who refrained from watching test or one day cricket go to watch these matches and hence increase the popularity of the game.
IPL Disadvantages
  1. Many critics have been pointing out that it spoils the young talent because of the money and glamour involved in this format and late night parties only add controversies and cricket takes the backseat.
  2. Many times Indian players conflict with each other like harbhajan and sreesanth fight or virat kohli and gautam gambhir fight and hence it leads to tension in the dressing room of Indian cricket team leading to fall in performance of team at international level.
  3. It does not give the feeling of game and intense rivalry is missing and hence it has become more like a movie or daily soap opera and the viewer forgets the match as soon as it is finished which is not the case with test match or one day cricket matches which are remember for decades and players performance are also remembered for ages.

Advantages & Disadvantages of VB.Net

Advantages of VB .Net -
  • VB.NET provides managed code execution that runs under the Common Language Runtime (CLR), resulting in robust, stable and secure applications. All features of the .NET framework are readily available in VB.NET.
  • VB.NET uses XML to transfer data between the various layers in the DNA Architecture i.e. data are passed as simple text strings.
  • Powerful Windows-based Applications.
  • Building Web-based Applications.
  • Simplified Deployment.
  • Powerful, Flexible, Simplified Data Access.
  • Improved Coding.
  • Direct Access to the Platform.
  • Full Object-Oriented Constructs.
  • XML Web Services.
  • Mobile Applications.
  • COM Interoperability.
  • Reuse Existing Investments.
  • Upgrade Wizard
Disadvantages of VB .Net -
  • Cannot handle pointers directly
  • Large Talent Pool
  • Intermediate Language (IL) compilation
  • Just-In-Time (JIT) compiler
  • Large Libraries

Advantages & Disadvantages of Web Services

Advantages
  • Interoperability: Most important benefit  of Web services, its  work outside of private networks and  offering developers to find their solutions in appropriate way. Its provide Interoperability between many software's running ion different platform. Web Services are filely platform-independent
  • Reusability: Web services use open standards and protocols. Deployment of services possible easily because  they are not a component-based model of application for development. This makes it easy to reuse Web Service components as appropriate in other services.
  • Deploy ability: Web services deploy over the Web and any user use this without any independent and mapping problems.
  • Usability: Web services allow the reuse of services and components within an infrastructure.Web Services allow the business logic of  different platform and exposed it over the Internet. This thigh provide the facility to use web services any where for different platform.

    Disadvantage
  • Web services suffered poor performance in comparison other distributed application  RMI, CORBA, or DCOM.
  • XML explicitly does not count among its design goals either conciseness of encoding or efficiency of parsing.
  • Transaction in Web Services is not infancy like other distributed standards like CORBA. The web service transaction is nonexistent.
  • When client make a request to the server. When  the server  response at that time if power gone and client end crash, in this condition server never known that client not activated.

Advantages & Disadvantages of XML

Advantage of XML:
  1. It is text-based.
  2. It is platform-independent.
  3. It manifests as plain text files.
  4. Integrating with Existing Data Types
  5. Extensibility
  6. It supports Unicode (allowing information in any language).
  7. It can represent data structures: records, lists and trees.
  8. It is based on international standards.
  9. The hierarchical structure is suitable for most types of documents.
  10. It makes parsing algorithms simple, efficient, and consistent. .
.
Disadvantage of XML :
  1. Syntax is redundant or large relative to binary representations of similar data
  2. The hierarchy schemata can be limiting
  3. Syntax is verbose relative to other alternative 'text-based' formats.
  4. More difficult, demanding, and precise than HTML
  5. It does not support data types, such as 'integer', 'string', 'boolean', and so on.
  6. Lack of browser support/end user applications
  7. The hierarchical model for representation is limited in comparison to an object oriented model.
  8. Namespaces are problematic to use and support

Advantages & Disadvantages of CSS

Advantage of CSS:
  1. Improved Search Engine Results
  2. Design Separated from Content
  3. Displayed on Various Media
  4. Compatibility with Browsers
  5. Superior styles to HTML
Disadvantage of CSS :
  1. Inconsistent Browser Support
  2. Larger Initial time Commitment
  3. Some elements override each other, thus the page may not turn out as you expect it to.
  4. Depending on the size of the file, External CSS may increase load time.
  5. Bugs

Advantages & Disadvantages of Black Box Testing

Advantages of black box testing:
  • Black box tests are reproducible.
  • The environment the program is running is also tested.
  • The invested effort can be used multiple times.
Disadvantages of black box testing:
  • The results are often overestimated.
  • Not all properties of a software product can be testedgif.
  • The reason for a failure is not found.
