Filmmakers always have an inclination for remaking a hit film as most of them strongly feel it might be easiest way or the short cut to success. Another regional film which took the Box Office by storm is getting remade in Hindi now. This one is special as it’s the landmark film in Chiru’s career.
Bollywood star Akshay Kumar is going to star in the Hindi remake of Tagore which is based on fight against corruption in the society. Designer Shabina Khan who earlier co-produced the actor’s hit flick Rowdy Rathore (Vikramarkudu in Telugu) has bought its rights for a whooping amount. She is very confident about Tagore remake entering into the Rs 100 crore club as the script is perfect blend of action, entertainment, suspense and social message. This big budgeted flick will go on the floors in mid-2013.
Although AR Murugadoss directed the original (Ramana) and VV Vinayak wielded the megaphone for Telugu remake (Tagore), none of these two directors were under consideration for directing the Hindi version. The official announcement about the director and film’s leading lady wil be out within few more days. Wish another South film makes it to Rs 100 crore club!
