The south Indian heroes have got a strong following in their regions and they are no less than demigods. But all this glory doesn’t really work when they go to the north. History has shown that in Hindi it is only Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth who did few movies and scored hits. But they never got number 1.
South Indians are always treated as south Indians in Mumbai. But this trend is likely to change with the arrival of Mahesh Babu. Well, Mahesh has plans to land in Mumbai with a bang and it will happen sometime sooner or later. So, if he lands like that then what sort of stardom can he get nationwide?
If he is successful, then he will be the first south Indian to become a national icon. Rajini has done it before but he is still considered as south Indian. For now, Mahesh has arrived with a soft drink ad which is currently becoming a rage across India. Will the same magic be repeated when he arrives with a Hindi movie? Can he get past Rajini and Kamal? Only time will tell…
